# We set out to fix a Tuesday night.

Faisal was charting until 11 PM after a full clinic. Ryan was building tools he uses to stay alive. Same problem, two directions.
         Mission
## Clinicians shouldn't have to choose between complete documentation and being present with the patient in front of them.
     What we believe
 - Specialty-specific beats general-purpose. A scribe trained on family medicine is not the right tool for psychiatry. We picked one specialty and went deep.
- The clinician is always the author. AriaMD drafts. The clinician signs. The chart belongs to the person whose name is on it.
- Patient privacy is the foundation. We do not train AI on PHI. Nextvisit trains AI on other customer data by default, and customers can opt out. We treat the data the way we'd want our own treated.
